Long-lasting change of perspective through education and hunger aid
The alarmingly low literacy (34.5%) is for the hunger-pained people of South Sudan a main factor, through which the light of a hopeful future is snuffed out.
AVC humanitarian aid gets specifically involved in education and hunger aid on site. 1,500 children of the Aradeb / Nuba mountains region shall be educated in three, age-appropriated schools. Since the families do not have enough food and money, the children will receive two meals a day.
In effort for this project to succeed long-term, AVC humanitarian aid promotes education for the locals and equips them with the necessary learn materials, as well as school- and kitchen supplies.
It only needs CHF 34,000 a year to employ 34 people. Those employees and their families receive with CHF 80 a month a secure income. It will be them, who will teach and feed the 1,500 children and with it, they will give them hope and the possibility of a positive future.
